Cali Wildflowers (6)

Snow Plant

Snow Plant grows in the thick humus of coniferous forests from 4000' to 8000', often under pines. I had to climb a hill and lay on my stomach to get this one. What a site I am sure for anyone driving by. We found this one on the road to Mariposa Grove.

Nice find! I've never seen anything like that before. But wait, they remind me a bit of extremly poisonous mushrooms. They are beautiful.
