Lady Diana

Speyeria diana

I was out working in the yard yesterday and spotted this little beauty. According to online resources the area I live in is not in her normal range. Boils down to being in the right place at the right time. Males have orange on the wings instead of blue.

These photos are a good argument for always having a camera handy. Wonderful pictures! I find that butterflies are difficult to get sharp and they tend to flutter everytime I hit the shutter!
