Floral Friday - Nature's Topiary

I had to take my car in for service recently and I decided to take a walk while I was waiting. I turned a corner and saw this huge tree covered in kudzu. I am not sure what type of tree this is, but I do know that it is not a live oak as they don't lose their leaves. For those of you who aren't familiar with kudzu, it grows out of control in the south. It is a vine that was brought here from Japan or China to help with soil erosion a long time ago. Wikipedia has some interesting information about this vine if your interested.

That's terrible stuff. It maybe killed whatever tree that is! Could be a water oak.

Fantastic! It sure looks controlled here.
