Apron Strings

by Sandra Graves, Colorado
Each year they rearrange, add, or remove the sculptures along Broadway in the business district. This is one of the sculptures added this year. It really is a charming piece. As you can see, a young boy reading a story to "Mother Goose" and "The Tortoise and the Hare". I am not sure of the story represented by the frog in the sculpture (who you can't see in this shot anyway). I have blogged some of the other sculptures here and here and here.

One of my favorite stories. Think I will sit down and join them!

The Frog Prince maybe?
I like the sculpture very much too. Especially since I love children's stories and still read them — for myself! :)
