Birds on a Rock

Cormorants on their spring migration.
Last week all of these rocks were under water, not just the low or small ones. I don't where the cormorants sat and sunned with all the high water. On busy days, these rocks are full of birds. By the time they move off to their final destination, these rocks will be almost all white from the guano. 
In the background is the power house that was used to generate power for the Phenix and Eagle Mills.

An interesting photo! And quite beautiful with that light; looks like late afternoon. Glad the waters are receding a bit!
