The Orange Spider

We took a drive out to Ft Benning looking for wildflowers. TOM decided we needed to head over to his favorite hunting areas to see if there were any fresh deer tracks. No fresh tracks, but we did see a couple of Red Headed Woodpeckers (who are on the endangered list). I didn't get a shot of the woodpeckers, but I did get a shot of this spider. Typical, start looking for one thing and end up with something else.

Sometimes the best photography is pure serendipity...and this is an excellent spider shot!

Wonderful closeup. Looks like a granddaddy longlegs perhaps.
