Aloha-een

*****
I grew up in Anoka, Minnesota. The self-proclaimed Halloween capital of the world.
They have several parades and festivities each year, one of which is the children's parade. School-age children dress in costume and parade down Main Street. I am in the first grade and dressed as a hula girl. (I was born in Hawaii, ya know.) Remember, it is October in MN, hence the tights and the long sleeve shirt (I am sure they were some shade of brown so I would look 'tan'). My mother even put make-up on me. My eyebrows are not that dark and pronounced : ) Anyway, it was a lot of fun for all the kids and they still do this parade 40-some odd years later.
