US Post Office and Federal Courthouse

The U.S. Post Office and Federal Courthouse was built in 1933 and is located on 12th Street in Columbus, GA. The building is on the Historic Register.
These medallions are on the east and north facades of the building.

I like these. Interesting that we don't do much of this kind of thing anymore...a loss, I think.

Are you going to post a photo of the entire building?

When I was a teenager I worked for Retail Credit and picked up the mail at 6 am in downtown Minneapolis. As I recall that post office was a marvel of marble and cement!

Hi Barb! What is "feeding the valley" - a charitable thing?

Roast beef is fine. Unless one is a vegetarian. :-) I'm not but Lois is. I don't eat beef, though. The so-called "Pilgrims" probably had no turkey, either. More likely deer and maybe pheasant. Lots of veggies.

Have a great time, whatever!
