Closed for Construction

The 14th Street Bridge is currently closed to traffic. The Corps of Engineers will be demolishing a couple of the old mill dams and the bridge needs to be stabilized. The plan is to bring the river back to a more natural flow and it is hoped that people will use the new 'old' rapids for kayaking, rafting, and boating.

Nice to see things get put back the way they should be, and I would guess there will be many folks out there taking advantage of the "new" rapids!
