Goodness! What a great shot! Sometimes they act like they know how striking they are with the pure white. I think it is the great white egret.

Great blue herons (white herons are a variation of the blue heron found in south Florida and lower) have black legs and great white egrets have yellow legs. You were lucky to see this beauty of a "blue" heron.

That is a good shot! I love the bird's stance and the surrounding habitat. I would have said white egret too. I am glad that Paula told us the difference since I am not really a bird person myself.
