Infantry Chapel

*****
Yesterday I explained the tradition of the arch of swords. Today I show you the Infantry Chapel on the main post of Fort Benning. The chapel was dedicated to four chaplains who, during WWII, gave their life preservers to others while their ship sank. The chapel is still decorated for the holidays, but the red and green are quite striking. As you can see, they did not waste any time cleaning up after us. Must have been another wedding that day.

I posted the exterior of the chapel here.

What a gorgeous place for a wedding. Love the colors and the light...it also appears very airy.

It's lovely! And the decorations make it more so.
