Ornamental Iron

*****
This is my contribution for this week's Taphophile Tragics meme. Be sure to click the link to see more.
Several of the larger family plots have ornamental iron and gates. This is one of the best examples in Linwood Cemetery.

Lovely! Wouldn't have thought this is from a cemetary.

Oh, I love the acorns and oak leaves. Great detail to spot! - That's so cool that y'all might come to B'ham! Let me know when and maybe we could meet at my favorite coffee shop or my favorite deli or my favorite cupcake bakery or my favorite library cafe with the most amazing pasta salad!

Interesting fence. Our wooden bed has a metal insert as part of the headboard that looks a lot like that fencing, though it's not welded together.

Love that... rusty leaves and acorns!

I like that, particularly the rust.

Barb, there is lots of wrought iron in our cemeteries here in Australia, but i have never seen this sort of design. Ours tend to be geometrical shapes, or assorted arrow heads. This oak leaf with acorns is just beautiful.

Thanks for contributing it to Taphophile Tragics. I value your participation.

Beautiful iron work and such a wonderful colour.

What beautiful ironwork. And I thought I was looking at a blue mosaic behind it. Then on second glance, I realized I was looking at a shadow. Doubly lovely.
