From the Other Side

You have seen the Blue Heron rookery from the Georgia side of the river, so today I will show you the rookery from the Alabama side of the river. With the leaves gone from the trees, you can see the nests (16 for sure). You can see other views of the rookery here, here, here, and here.

Well that is very special. We have lots of blue herons right here in Stone Creek but I've never seen a nest or rookery!

Maybe I'll have to look more closely!

Oh my gosh, when the trees lose their leaves there's nowhere for the nests to hide hey Barb, good thing they are so high up.
