Dandelion Fluff

*****
We have been working hard at my Mom's house. Sorting and cleaning out. We have a pile for a yard sale, making multiple trips to the recycling centers. They really make recycling complicated here. One place takes scrap metal, you have to go to another location to recycle paper and wood. None of them are open on the same day of the week and they all have wonky hours. I have to admit, numerous recycling options are available and much better than home, but if you don't know the ins and outs it can be complicated. They even publish a book, the "Recyclopedia" to help get you started.

Such a pretty picture but such a nuisance of a week, unless you like dandelion wine.

That recycling system sounds a bit like ours although ours is still much simpler...and now we can put all of the stuff together and it gets picked up at the curb once a week. :)

Haven't seen dandelions in a long time. Don't think we have many down here. Why would that be?

Re your question on L&L: The picture was taken a few years back. Lois' mom loved to go sit out at Lake Minnetonka and we'd take her when we were visiting.

I know dandelions are weeds, but they are pretty! :)

Hope your recycling woes get worked out. Bin collection in Toronto is also complex. You have to sort everything and if they see something like grass in your regular bins (instead of the garden waste) they won't take it. :S

Thank goodness we have a foundation that holds recycling markets in mall parking lots regularly. The different centers send representatives and trucks, and we just haul everything to one location.

Lovely, lovely photo.

Best dandelion picture I've seen.

I used to live in a town where you could throw all your recyclables into one bin--no sorting necessary--and they'd take it away along with the trash. It was a wonderful system. I really miss the ease of that--I wish it were that simple everywhere.

All those fluffy dandelions represent a whole lot of unwished wishes just waiting to be wished...
